Because some teenage mothers do not gain adequate weight while pregnant their baby's organs do not fully develope which can lead to complications like bleeding in the brain, espiratory distress syndrome, and intestinal problems. All teenagers do not eat healthy and pregnant women are recommended to take daily multivitamins to maintain adequate nutrition during pregnancy. Children born to teenage mothers are less likely to receive proper nutrition, health care, and cognitive and social stimulation.
